JEECUP 2018 Exam Dates Announced!

JEECUP 2018 exam are announced by the Uttar Pradesh board of Technical Education (UPBTE). Joint Entrance Examination Council of UP is a state level Polytechnic exam. This exam is also referred as Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (UPJEE). As, this exam is a gateway for securing admissions in the various polytechnic courses offered by different institutions and colleges of Uttar Pradesh. With the help of this exam, the candidates will get a chance to take admission in different courses like engineering, technology, pharmacy and many other diploma courses.

Important dates and details to be followed by the candidate while they are going to appear for the exam of JEECUP 2018:

  • Application form released – 3rd week of December 2017 (tentative)

  • Last date of submission – 2nd week of February 2018 (tentative)

  • Admit card – 2nd week of April 2018 (tentative)

  • Exam date – 22nd April 2018 (tentative)

  • Result – 3rd week of May 2018 (tentative)

  • The candidates must carry their admit card and a photo identity proof along with them while they are appearing for the exam.

  • No candidates will be allowed to enter their perspective exam center without admit card and identity proof.

  • The candidates must reach their exam centers on time as no late entry will be allowed.

  • The candidates should not carry any calculator, printed or written material, Log tables, slide rule, and bits of paper.

  • If any of the candidates will be caught with all the above mentioned things then his/ her examination will be cancelled and he will be debarred for the future examinations also. As, his/her examination will be treated as the unfair means and the equipment caught with him/ her will be seized.

The exam is an Objective type questions and is a pen and paper based exam (written test). The duration of the exam is three hours and will be conducted in two sessions, the first session will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and the second session will be from 2:30 pm to 5:30pm. The question paper will be asked in two basic languages English and Hindi. For every correct answer the candidates will be given four marks and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. As, negative marking will be done for various responses.

The candidates can download their admit card till the day of examination. Also they are requested to take a copy of downloaded admit card for further references. For any case of misplacement of the admit card the candidates can take 2 extra copies of their admit card. The admit cards will be available on the official website of the JEECUP 2018.

The eligibility criteria for the exam is different for all the courses like for Diploma in Engineering & Technology the candidates must be passed class 10th exam with minimum marks of 35%. Similarly, for Diploma in Pharmacy the candidates must have passed class 12th exam in science stream with minimum marks of 50% and 45% for the reserved categories. For Agriculture Engineering the candidates should have passed class 10th or 12th exam with agriculture by obtaining 35% minimum marks. And at last for PG Diploma the candidates must have passed the graduation or also the candidates who are pursuing the final year are also eligible to apply for the exam.

The candidates who will successfully score a rank in the exam will be able to go further for counseling. The counseling will be done through online mode from 2nd week of June 2018 (tentatively). Seat allotment in the various courses will be on the basis of the rank scored by the candidates in the exam.
